Waterstone "Lord Kitchener" model guitar "Our dedication to mod culture continues with the Lord Kitchener guitar and bass. On Carnaby Street in the '60's there were many fashion shops including John Stephen, Kleptomania, Mates, Ravel and I Was Lord Kitchener's Valet. The latter promoted antique military uniforms as fashion items. Peter Blake, the artist who designed the Sgt. Pepper's album cover, said that he and Paul McCartney got the idea for the record sleeve while they were walking together past the shop. Jimi Hendrix also bought his clothes there. Sounds like a good name for a guitar and bass to us. The guitar is a neck through body construction with 2 humbuckers and a 23 3/4" scale." ![]() |
